During the 1st workshop at Lilla Änggården (workshops were called “missions”), we buried a secret postbox and hiding place in the heritage site’s surrounding forest park. Five children carried the box into the woods and chose a spot under a hemlock tree.
Over time, the box was filled with forgotten things that children had found nearby – including a glasses case, a mitten, a lollipop, and a sock. As winter turned to spring, many mysterious things happened to the box. It became unearthed from the ground, turned around, and then even appeared in the branches of the tree above it.
Before each following mission, children received letters in the box, previewing their next mission and describing sites of interest around Lilla Änggården.
